Little or no shower activity was observed or reported in and around the islands. Otherwise, a tropical wave continued to pass well south of the region with most of the associated showers and thunderstorms well south of the local waters. Winds were generally from the east between 12 to 18 mph with higher gusts along the coastal areas with sea breezes. Highs were in the upper 80s. Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies will prevail overnight. However, quick passing tradewind showers may form move over the coastal waters overnight into the early morning hours. A few may affect the windward side of the islands from time to time, but activity should be brief with no significant accumulations expected. Overnight low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s. Across the local waters, east winds between 10 to 20 knots and occasionally higher gusts are expected overnight. Seas of 6 feet or less are expected into Tuesday, then becoming up to 7 feet offshore from late Tuesday onwards. Small craft operators should exercise caution overnight due to choppy conditions. Maritime conditions will deteriorate Wednesday into Thursday with the approach of another vigorous tropical wave, mainly in the Caribbean waters and passages. By then Small craft advisories will be likely.
